The Black Lives Matter movement has had and continues to have an impact on contemporary art making practices, where we see, what we see, who we see, what we see and the kinds of activist engagements that have been fuelled by this movement.
Additionally in Canada, movements related to Truth and Reconciliation and Decolonization have had an impact on art making, and all galleries and museums and their institutional practices, grant making, place making and visual arts strategies by Indigenous artists and also allies.
