Think about how you can take what you have learned through your selected book, the core concept, your historical research, and the ideas that suggest agency. You can also use the articles we have read in class. Develop a 5 page framework for addressing culture in your classroom/ school. Draw on the specific resources you have developed to help delve more deeply into specific histories, examples of resistance, and ways in which you can draw on the cultural resources of your students. How will you take all these ideas to address both the curriculum in your classroom and the ways in which you will interact with students from diverse backgrounds? In other words, how will culture shape your teaching and your classroom/ school? You will submit this as an assignment, in addition to posting on the Discussion for others to be able to access. We want to ensure that we share our cultural frameworks with others as a source of community and empowerment.
