Case Manager Interview Guidelines
For this assignment you will conduct an interview with a case manager (preferably a nurse case manager), working in any type of health care setting. The interview can be F2F or via phone
Whatever type venue you choose be sure to be professional and respectful of the case manger’s time and effort to participate.
After the interview submit a 2-3-page paper, double-spaced, of your interview experience. You are not required to include references or citations unless you choose to cite a source to help put your statement/s in context. Submit to the assignment dropbox by the assigned due date.

Conducting the Interview: Use these questions as your guide
Can you describe your role as case manager?
Would you share with me a typical workday?
If the case manager is a nurse, ask, how do you utilize the nursing process in your role?
Do you practice both within the outside the facility? Explain.
How much of your time is spent with Telephonic (telephone) communicating with patients/clients?
What are the education requirements for a case manager position?
Is certification required? Are you certified? Do you feel case manger’s should be certified?
Can you describe the best time you really felt you made a difference as a case manager?
The landscape of healthcare is constantly changing. What changes do you see in the future for the role of the case manager?
To a nursing professional interested in a career in case management what insight would you share?
