Requirements from the teacher:
Prepare a lesson plan for an ENGLISH LESSON at primary school.
Length of the lesson: 45 minutes
Define the topic of the lesson, the class, the age of the children/students, the proficiency level (A1-B2)
Key vocabulary, materials used (pictures, crossroads, PowerPoint presentation, worksheets) – please include it… maybe in form of a screenshot/several pictures in 1 page or any way possible.)
State the overall goal/aim of the lesson. Try to formulate it as 1 sentence. (e.g. The aim of the lesson is for the students to be able to talk about their likes and dislikes. OR The aim of the lesson is for the students to be better prepared for an interview. OR The aim of the lesson is to improve students’ listening skills….)
Set objectives of the lesson (2-5). E.g. the children will be able to name 5 fruits and 5 vegetables. OR the children can point to their body part if they hear the name… etc.)
Describe the activities (so that a teacher in France/Russia/Czech Republic would be able to do the activities in their classroom). Don’t forget to estimate the time (e.g. 10 minutes)
Assessment – how would you check whether you fulfilled your aim and objectives. E.g. Asking questions (can you name 3 vegetables that you like?). OR play SIMON SAYS (Simon says: ‘touch your knees’) OR: using interactive activity, e.g.: If you can work with Powerpoint, stand up. If you always meet deadlines, raise your hand. OR: pairwork: ask each other the following question & try to answer it: ‘Where do you see your self in 5 years?’
Include your sources, references, websites you used, workbooks, etc.
Note from me:
The age of the children should be between 8 – 12.
The topic of the lesson plan could be for example “Prepositions of time”. Or something else if you can come up with something better.
The lesson plan can be 1 – 2 pages long and the rest can be used for the materials.
