In this short, 2-page (500-word) paper, you will examine 1 primary source.
The basic question you will answer is: why is your source significant to world history? What does it tell us about the topic it explores (i.e. European conquest, indigenous responses, Ottoman social structures, Eurasian empires)?
Your essay needs:
1. an argument (i.e. a thesis statement)
2. a clear organization your reader can follow
3. cited evidence from the source you’ve chosen
4. analysis of that evidence
