Choose a Psalm to read. Experiment by reading the psalm aloud in two different ways. First time: Read in as dull a voice as possible. Stifle all impulses to use gestures or read lively. Then read the psalm with as colorful a voice as possible, giving full freedom to movement and gesture. Change your tone. Vary your volume. Orally interpret the passage as you think the author meant it to be read.
