Choose a website that is horribly designed. It must be a real site, though if the site you want to recreate
is too big, you should select a specific portion of it. Ideally, it is one you enjoy using, and have thought
‘man, if I build this, I would have done it this way…’ — so you’ve used it enough to have some real
thoughts about what you’d do differently. You will then choose a target user — the person for whom you
wish to restructure the application to improve his/her experience. Such a user may be one you might
encounter in real life (e.g., ‘single mothers, 25- 45, who live in the South’) or more imaginary (e.g., ‘wood elves’). You will then re-envision the interfaces and functionality of the web experience, in such
a way as to improve the user experience of that target user. You will also perform other UX tasks.
