Religion seems to be getting pushed further and further away from the public and it does have an affect on the Christian’s ability to engage in culture. As Christians it is up to us to spread God’s word. However, that becomes harder to do in places where religion is not allowed. The sacred/secular divide is a big issue
today in our culture. The sacred part of the divide deals with values and religion, while the secular section deals with facts and scientific findings. The sacred/secular divide impacts my own life, mostly in my career. I am an employee of a public school and religion is not something that I can share. We are not able to share our beliefs and feelings about religion among people within the school systems. I am not sure how to eliminate the sacred/secular divide. The best ways I can think of is to continue to spread God’s word whenever and wherever possible.
