This assignment requires a substantial amount of study, analysis, and research work towards the review and implementation of
analytics of Big Data using Hadoop and Spark in the context of this course. Accordingly, the student is asked to clearly introduce, implement, and demonstrate the concepts using data from some open data source. Students are expected to utilize open, public data sources for this project. Please follow instructions outlined below.
Undergraduate Project
Students will research a public, open dataset using concepts within the area of Big Data.
Submission Details
• Submit a 2-3 page paper that starts with an abstract on the topic and what you propose to do.
• Identify the languages, tools and techniques you will use for the data analysis.
• Identify the data source you will use.
• Document the results obtained from your analysis.
• Submit your project for evaluation. The material in the submission should be your original work.
• The projects will be checked for plagiarism, and non-original work will not be accepted.

The following can be used as reference for data sources. You are also free to use any other data source, so long as you provide the reference to the source of your data.
Project Submission
The paper needs to be no less than 2 single-spaced pages in two columns (in IEEE format) and with a minimum of five
references. These references need to be in APA format.
