Reread the definitions of the eight ideologies we will be studying this semester. After looking these over, consider the question attached to each ideology.
Once you’ve thought through this, put it on paper. Type up a three to four sentence response that defines your answers to these questions. Use complete sentences (no bullet points). Look below to see how to format correctly.
This activity is meant to guide your awareness of worldview and of the components of a worldview while simultaneously guiding you to reflect on the worldview you currently hold—and what forms the basis of this worldview. Your grade will be determined by your thorough completion of the assignment, not what you say (although how you say it does matter: just remember to write well).
Sample formatting (in TNR size 12 font, of course):
Soteriology—I believe that we, as humans, need to be saved from bad teeth. The only way for us to be saved from bad teeth is through improved dentistry in our nation. Our fate rests in our dentists’ hands.
Axiology—Right or wrong is determined by MTV. When the cast of Jersey Shore or Sixteen and Pregnant does something, we should follow their example because they are the wealthiest unemployed people on the planet.
