The Black Lives Matter movement has had and continues to have an impact on contemporary art making practices, where we see, what we see, who we see, what we see and the kinds of activist engagements that have been fuelled by this movement.
Additionally in Canada, movements related to Truth and Reconciliation and Decolonization have had an impact on art making, and all galleries and museums and their institutional practices, grant making, place making and visual arts strategies by Indigenous artists and also allies.
Using your recent browsing on social media, what have you learned, what have you noticed, what are you thinking and feeling? Pick one of the above issues, and argue for what is happening, why it is important, and why and how it matters to you to the visual arts and to the big picture( however you construe this)
