In the essay discuss some of the assumptions that are basic to delinquency prevention and diversion programs. To what extent do each of these assumptions feel justified? Why is the public often unwilling to finance these prevention programs and what are the consequences of this?

2. Explain how you would target the terrorist threat in your country or regions.
Would you use existing intelligence, police, and/or military institutions or design a new counterterrorism agency? If so, what powers and mission would you give your new agency?
What type of intelligence collection do you need to conduct your counterterrorist mission?
How would you handle captured terrorists? What about non-violent supporters?
Would you design any projects to prevent radicalization? If so, please describe these programs.
Explain how your counterterrorism plan protects civil liberties and the rights of the rest of your country/region’s population.
Find a community in your neighborhood. Describe and analyze it from a restorative perspective.
How does this community fulfill the notion of “restorative”? (Use the concepts related to “restorative,” e.g. social discipline window, restorative v. retributive, reintegrative v. disintegrative shaming, etc.)
Who are the stakeholders of this community (that is, who participates in the process)? What do they do? Why is their presence important? How do they fit the concept of restorative?
What is the aim of the community? How does it operate?
Provide evidence for the success of the program. (If there is no evidence, you can provide evidence that it is appreciated in the community and meaningful.)
Include a Reference section. Refer to the textbook, 2 further journal articles (can be what we discussed in class), and any additional sources necessary to support your arguments. Apply APA style (see the Syllabus for APA style).
