Write a persuasive letter explaining why officials should change building codes to mimic those of Japan. Japanese philosophy on structural design is safer, less expensive, and better for the community.
The letter should have a typical letter format:

Opening paragraph – Why are you writing?
Body – State both sides with supporting data.

The “Geology” section of this report describes the processes that i) shaped the Dryden Lake
Valley bedrock; ii) produced Dryden Lake itself, and iii) deposited the unconsolidated
geologic deposits that form the aquifer in the region. Briefly summarize these processes and
their results in 1-2 paragraphs.
Figure 13 presents a geologic model for the region based primarily on geologic and
hydrologic information from wellbores (e.g., data presented in Figure 9). Briefly describe the
aquifers identified, their average thickness, and how they were identified as under confined
hydraulic conditions.
