In organizations today, including healthcare organizations, it is extremely important that all parties understand the overall purpose of the organization and how they fit into the whole picture. These tools give a view into the organization, its’ structure, and how its’ employees are organized. The organizational chart gives a quick picture of the overall structure. The mission, vision, and values statements communicate to the organization and the outside the purpose of the organization along with its’ vision for the future. The policies, procedures, and job descriptions help to push the organization toward its overall goals.
