Use an electronic database of academic research articles to locate ONE article that reports on research in your area of interest or expertise. Evaluate the article using the questions in Chapter 9, Figure 9.6 or 9.7 (pp 286-287 in the 5th edition). You do NOT need to provide responses for every question in the checklist, but please select at least a couple questions from each section. Also, please keep in mind that an evaluation IS NOT a summary of what the authors did but rather an assessment of how well or poorly certain criteria from the checklist where done by these authors. Providing examples in your response will help make it clear to the reader that you understand what was done poorly or well. The article will be over strength based training or technique for coaching track.

Included here is an example of a qualitative research study. Describe what the researchers where attempting to do here. What was the research question? Was a qualitative approach appropriate? What type of qualitative study was conducted (i.e., grounded theory, ethnography, other). In your response clearly indicate how the study was conducted (procedure), the type of data collected, and how the data were analyzed. Also, state whether or not you thought this was an effective example of qualitative research, or whether or not you thought the methodology could be improved in some way.
