Please answer the following questions:
A key lesson derived from the events of 9/11 is that a focused adversary can cause terrible damage with modest resources. Discuss this observation and provide at least one relevant example.
Executive protection, like other organizational programs, can be examined from a “return on investment” (ROI) standpoint. Discuss this issue and its relevancy to a protective services program.
Technical Requirements
Your paper must be at a minimum 2-3 pages for each question for a total of 4-6 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit).
Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content.
Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space.
Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework.
Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.
All submissions will be graded using the assignment rubric.

The focus with this final case study will be to integrate and apply what your learned about
leadership, culture and the many of the diverse organizational change models and related
behaviors we studied, to an existing or emerging large/global problem. You will be graded on
your ability to effectively integrate what you have learned and make use of the multitude of
leadership and change strategies, methods, skills and behaviors.
Note: you may incorporate some of PERMA, but NOT ONLY PERMA, if it fits your case
study problem needs. You must incorporate a minimum of five (5) change leadership
strategies, methods and/or best practices from our course.
You can choose a global or a broad industry wide problem. You can build it around an
industry, global trend, geographical, demographic or major market issue. It must be a real
issue and not conceptual or theoretical. It cannot be built just around an individual firm. If
you would like me to skim read your idea and provide you some quick feedback, I am very
open to doing that. You may also run your global case study topic idea concept by me if that
would help you refine it.
On a single, 12-point font word page, maximize use of the page “real estate” to clearly and
effectively express the problem scope, your assessment of the situation and then potential
and practical leadership and organizational leading change solution actions (integrated
together, drawn from ISE5800). Approximately 90% – 95% of your submission should be
spent on practical and logical solution actions drawn from our course. Important: I often end
up taking points off when there is too much emphasis on stating or assessing the problem
and not enough on specific strategies and actions to potentially address it.
I am NOT looking for technical, operational, marketing, business management or engineering
solutions, but rather, leadership and organizational change-oriented solutions that have been
part of the ISE5800 lessons, team projects and our exceptional in class discussions and
role playing this past semester. Put your greatest emphasis on how to gain change adoption,
through leadership principles and behaviors-identifying specific actions you believe are
required.
Points will be taken off for ambiguous, vague or unclear organizational change solutions, a
lack of application of course knowledge and/or submissions that are simply not well written or
lack practicality. Late submissions will also have points taken off (immediate grade
reduction).
Your goal is to develop a compelling and original submission that recommends specific
organizational leadership change actions that would systemically and strategically create
positive and lasting change in your selected global or industry area. This can be an
energizing and challenging study that reflects something (globally) you are highly passionate
about.

Discussion
In this assignment, you will be introduced to the early efforts of developing and implementing a national Air Traffic Control (ATC) system and identifying the impact on commercial aviation policy and regulation. Today over 5,000 commercial aircraft traverse the skies daily over the United States. This common-day movement is often taken for granted, and only gets headlines when something goes wrong.
During the 1950s, air travel was coming into its own. The federal government was challenged with not only the projection of exponential commercial aviation growth (especially with the inauguration of the jet engine) but how to safely manage the airspace in this growth would occur.
Choose one innovation that the ATC brought about during the 1950s, and prepare a one-slide presentation answering all of the following:
The problem: Describe the specific issue this innovation attempts to solve.
Before the innovation: Name what was used instead.
During the innovation: Identify when and how this change took place.
After the innovation: Define what is used today.

Discussion Questions: Discuss the challenges of terrorism and critical infrastructure protection and how it all ties into CPTED. Give examples. Next, discuss the consequence, threat, and vulnerability ratings of a risk assessment matrix and how they are derived, per FEMA 426/BIPS-06 (2011). In your discussion of the consequence rating explain how asset identification factors in.

The development of a testable research question is an integral first step in developing an effective research question or set of questions. It forms the foundation upon which the remaining stages of the process are built. Getting this step right will help ensure the success of future steps.
In this activity, you will develop the research question that you will use for the assignments throughout this course.
Submit the following:
General Topic of Interest
Research Objective/Purpose: “Why” of the researchRemember that this can be addressed by completing the sentence, “The purpose of this study is . . .”
Research Question(s): “What” of the researchRemember that this can be addressed by completing the sentence, “The research seeks to understand if/how…
