This assignment will help familiarize you with the evidence-based process (EBP).

This assignment will help familiarize you with the evidence-based process (EBP). It is very important for a researcher completing a practice evaluation to become familiar with EBP, as EBP is the foundational framework that includes systematic steps to help guide the researcher to most effectively “evaluate” clients at his or her practice. More specifically, the EBP process, especially the first four steps, is the beginning phase of actually completing a practice evaluation.
So, for this assignment you will read a case study and then apply each of the five EBP steps. The case study for this assignment is below:
Case Study
Casey, a 24-year-old Caucasian woman, is seeking counseling for anxiety and depression that she attributes to her problems during her senior year of college. In response to questions about her use of substances, Casey describes herself as a “social drinker.” Her typical pattern is to consume 3-6 drinks each day, and she drinks 5 times per week. She began drinking regularly (1-2 times per week) and heavily (to intoxication) at the age of 13, usually in the company of an older cousin or school friends. She continued this pattern through high school but cut back during her first two years of college due to lack of money to buy alcohol and more difficult access. During her senior year, Casey was raped at a party and became pregnant with the perpetrators child. She resumed drinking heavily after this incident.
The five EBP steps are below:
Step 1 (Develop a Question): Develop at least 1 question you would like to answer from the Casey case study. Specifically, ask a question about a potential problem you identified and want to help Casey alleviate;
Step 2 (Find the Evidence): Find at least two published studies that can help you answer this question (for my review, cut and paste or write out the abstracts of the 2 articles into your essay question). Specifically, find two articles that use an intervention that you believe would help Casey with her problem;
Step 3 (Analyze the Evidence): Summarize each article and identify which study you believe has a stronger research design and why? Which study do you believe has an intervention that is likely to help Casey with her problem?;
Step 4 (Combine Evidence w/ your Understanding of Client & Situation): Which pieces of evidence from the 2 articles fits better with Casey’s case? Which pieces of evidence do not fit well with Casey’s case? Of the 2 articles, which one has an intervention that you plan to apply to Casey’s case? Why did you pick this particular one?; and
Step 5 (Application to Practice): For this step you can “make up” the information. Describe how you would implement this intervention with Casey?
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
Design and support a research plan for clinical practice (PLO 13)
Analyze quantitative and qualitative research methods and findings (PLO 13)
Suggest implications for practice based on research findings (PO 13; ILO 5)
Textbook: Single-case experimental designs for clinical research and neurorehabilitation settings: Planning, conduct, analysis and reporting

Video: Single Subject Research
Important Note about Videos: Please keep in mind that if you are asked to watch any video in this course and it does not work, this is okay. In this world of technology and easy access to information, all you need to do is search for more relevant videos using the relevant terms for this Workshop. So, for this workshop, open YouTube and type the words “Evidence-Based Practice” or “Single-System Designs” and it should show dozens of videos to choose from. You can also use similar keywords to search for relevant videos. Keep in mind that whatever video(s) you decide to utilize for your assignment, you must cite them in your reference section. The general format for citing a video in APA is below:
Author, A. A. [Screen name]. (year, month day). Title of video [Video file]. Retrieved from http://xxxxx
Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.
Read Chapters on the “Introduction to single-case experimental designs” and “Practical application of single-case methods in the neurorehabilitation setting.”
Read the Case Study located in the Getting Started section of this page.
Go through the five steps of the evidence-based practice process above and answer the questions in each step.
This assignment is to be at least 2-3 pages in length.
This does not include the header or reference pages.
Complete your assignment in a Word document.
This will be the case for all Assignment submissions.

This week we are talking about empowerment. This week you will
be encouraging your classmates with the hope that they deserve.
This job is thankless, being in the helping services can be
thankless at times, and it is a great idea to learn the importance of
camaraderie within your classes so that in your workplaces, you find strength
to continue working without breaking to the point that you leave the work you
have been called to do.
1. Read Matthew 6:1-4(new tab) and Colossians 3:23-24(new tab).
2. You will reflect on the Word of God and then respond to
the prompt.
3. Response to the following prompts directed at your
class as a whole 300 words
a. In the world of giving, we are often doing the thankless
work that is unappreciated or underappreciated. This week you will give hope to
your classmates. You will be “thanking” them for their future work, and/or the
current work that they have done. In this field, we have to love one another
and remember that God gave us the gift of empathy for a reason, but that does
not mean that we are to give of ourselves until there is nothing left. This
week, we are encouraging our classmates.

to be Based on a small town in northern Wisconsin.
You will be identifying a local agency of your choosing.
However, before you do this, you will be taking an honest look at your local
community. You will assess the needs of your local community and compare it to
the rest of the nation. You will show the comparison in a way that is easy for
your reader to interpret the data. You may make a chart, or you may write a
simple paragraph.
You will then present at least one organization that addresses
this need in your own community. You will tell us about this agency and the
services they offer. You will then list three areas that they are doing well
and at least two areas that they are not addressing at this time. You will then
present a plan on how you would advocate the needs in your area to the city‘s
Hint: You may have to call the organization to get more
information on their agency. Be sure that you reference these phone
conversations in APA 7th Edition format.
Mentally reflect on the following: Assess the needs of
your local community and compare it to the rest of the nation.

Hey! I need one professional graph to show the six categories that were assessed – a side by side comparison.
Please take the following data and create one professional graph that includes the rating for each area for side by side comparison.
There were six area that were assessed:
Leadership Capacity – 74% of the respondents strongly agree, 20% agree, 5% disagree, while 1% strongly disagrees with the organization’s leadership capacity
Management and Operation Capacity – 59% of the respondents strongly agree, 31% agree, 6% disagree, 2 % unsure, while 2% strongly disagree
Service Capacity – 56% of the respondents in service capacity strongly agree, 35% agree, 6% disagree, 1% strongly disagree, while 1% was unsure about the firm’s service capacity
Community Engagement Capacity – 55% of the responses in community engagement capacity category strongly agree, 35% agree, 4% disagree, while 6 % was unsure
Evaluative Capacity – 61% of the feedback in evaluative capacity strongly agreed, 29% agree, 5% disagree, 4% was unsure, while 1% strongly disagrees
Trauma Informed Care Capacity – 55% of the respondents strongly agree, 30% agree, 13% disagree, while 2% was unsure with the trauma informed care capacity of the organization
A Likert Scale was used which included the following choices: Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Agree, Strongly Agree, Unsure
