PAPER ASSIGNMENT FOR THEATER: HISTORY AND APPRECIATION
Please compose a paper between 5 and 6 pages long concerning another work from any of the playwrights discussed in our class. In the paper provide biographical information on the playwright, a plot summary of the play you have chosen, an account of how this play might have been presented in the author’s day (that is, an outline of the theatrical conventions associated with this author’s type of theater) and, most importantly, list some similarities you find between the play you have chosen and the play by the same author covered in class. If your choice is one of the playwrights who will be covered but have not yet been covered, it is your responsibility to do all background research. Please utilize at least two other sources in addition to the play itself, and cite according to MLA.

*note: a choice of a Middle Ages play must discuss the nature of the people involved with creating this type of theater in place of the biography of a specific individual, as these plays were a collaborative event scripted by an anonymous author.
