The purpose of the oral presentation is to prepare you for oral presentations to general audiences as well as practicing communication skills focused on delivering scientific concepts to non-scientific audiences.
The presentation should be a short 3-5 minute oral presentation of your research paper with at least 3 slides
The presentation should be structured and presented with consideration for a lay audience (non-academic). Consideration should be given to pleasant, basic graphics and language that is easy to understand.
Oral presentation must include:
A short introduction to the concept
A short overview of what was found in the literature
The student’s own perspectives of how the literature addresses the question
Ideas for future research in the field.
