Assessment 2 Details and Instructions
This assessment has two parts: a presentation on a Unit reading and a written summary of this reading. The materials produced for this assessment will inform the creation of the policy paper for assessment 3.
Students will be individually assigned a week and a reading for the week by their educator.
Part A: PowerPoint Presentation (10mins + 5 mins Question and Answer)
Students are required to present a 10-minute presentation on one prescribed reading from this unit. Presentations of these reading summaries will be conducted during class from week 2 through to week 10. To ensure fairness, there will be rando​‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌​m allocation of students to each week.
In their presentation students will critically reflect on and present a summary of the main points of the weekly reading. You will present your insights in class in the form of presentation (max. 10 mins) and respond to questions from fellow students (max. 5 mins). MS PowerPoint or any other presentation software (such as Canva) may be used for the presentation.
Part B: Written Overview (250-300 words)
You will also provide a written summary of your reading, which is to be made available to your fellow students. Please take care when crafting these summaries as your document might influence how your fellow students comprehend and interpret the reading. A suggested template for this summary is supplied in Appendix A.

1. Identify key points of weekly reading
2. Critically reflect on reading materials and integrate readings into the wider theoretical and
philosophical context (this means that you will have to read more widely than just the set
readings)
3. Referencing using APA (7th edition) conventions
