For the writing reflections, students must turn in a half page of writing in Blackboard for the appropriate assignment. In this writing, the student must explain what they think the work means, point out interesting points within the work that figure into the student’s understanding of the work, point out figurative language and explain the figurative language informs the topic and theme of the work. Students can also question things within the work and how specific language is used. This reflection should address each of the works individually; however, after analyzing each work, feel free to look at the group of works together as a whole.
This will be due at the beginning of class, and students will be expected to talk about their writings to further classroom discussion.
