Included here is an example of a correlational research study. Describe who the participants were and how they were selected to participate, what the independent (predictor), dependent (criterion), and any other control (if any) variables were, how they were measured, and the direction and strength of the relationship(s) found between variables. In light of the research methodology employed in this study, how strong can the causal inference be (i.e., what degree of internal validity does this study have?)? How confident would you be in the external validity of this study (i.e., to which population would you be willing to generalize these results?)? Post your response in the Discussion area. Then review and comment on the response of at least one other student, and post your comments on their responses in the Discussion area.
