in this assignment, students will choose an urban legend. This must be a story and CANNOT be a creature (ex. Bigfoot, Nessie, Chupacabra) as these are part of cryptozoology and will not give you what you need for this assignment. Those provided in class have been from American culture, but students should seek out a modern legend from another culture. Students should then seek to research the culture and how legends serve an important purpose. the first 3 pages will be research and the last two will be reflection over the first 3 pages.
