Navigating the Regulatory Environment in Health Care (comp 1, assessment)

Your health care organization has had several small compliance incidents in the past 2 years, and the organization is now motivated to update its compliance program. Your executive leadership team asked you to review 2 health care compliance programs from similar organizations to determine how they constructed their compliance program and what aspects your organization should adopt.
Select the type of health care organization you want represented in this assignment (e.g., family practice, hospital, urgent care, or nursing home).
Locate 2 compliance program documents from comparable health care organizations, using your Internet search engine.
Read both compliance program documents and examine the similarities and differences between the 2.
Create a matrix that compares how both organizations execute the following compliance components:
How internal monitoring and auditing is conducted
How compliance and practice standards are implemented
The designated compliance officer (or person designated to be the contact for compliance matters), who that person reports to, and their relationship to the organization’s governing board
How employees are trained and educated to model compliant behaviors
How violations or offenses are detected, reported, and corrected
How lines of communication with employees are developed
How disciplinary standards are enforced
Write a 525- to 700-word executive summary that informs your executive leadership about the matrix you created and offer your opinion as to which best practices the organization should adopt for its own compliance program.
Cite your sources according to APA guidelines.
Submit your report and article. For additional help, check out the ULTRA: Access your assignments page.

Discussion

The minimum word count for each reply is 50 words. Critique their ideas to help them form a good research problem/question. Give feedback with the following in mind:
Does either of the top two choices seem appropriate for a five-page paper? (For example, is it too narrow, too broad, etc.)
Do you think your colleague will be able to support the topic with current references?
Be respectful. You can provide productive feedback in a supportive manner. Remember your feedback might help your colleague fine-tune their research question into one that can be tackled in this class. Full points for rich responses. Partial points for weak responses.
Research Problem 1.
Problem Statement:
For my research project, I will be looking into the potential harm caused by long-term use of given breathing treatments to patients. As respiratory therapist, we are faced with the challenge to have to provide an aerosol treatment to these patients (such as Asthmatics, COPD, CHF, to name a few) and be exposed to the treatment itself. We do have personal protective equipment as well as filters, but the treatment lasts about 5 minutes, but we also breathe it in.
Question:
How can we lessen the potential harm of inhaling the breathing treatment?
What are some long-term affects found in being exposed to breathing treatments such as (DuoNeb, Pulmicort and Performist, or even Albuterol)?
Are there some medications that could cause a greater risk?

Aim/purpose:
These are a few of the challenges we face as respiratory therapists. The goal is to lessen the potential secondhand harm from providing these breathing treatments. This would help alleviate any potential harm even sooner.

Objectives:
How can we better the severity score for patients and switch them to MDI’s sooner?
Examine the personal protective equipment used by respiratory therapist.
Determine the most effective way to give a breathing treatment.

Research Problem 2.
Problem Statement:
For my research project I will be looking into one of the many complications that can occur after delivering a newborn, such as uterine atony. Pregnant women who develop complications during their pregnancy are at a greater risk of developing placenta previa which in return can lead to uterine atony. Uterine atony is a potential risk that continues to effect women and the need to educate both younger and older women is necessary.
Question:
How can we prevent uterine atony?
Who is more at risk for uterine atony?
What are the long-term effects of having had uterine atony?
Aim/purpose:
Upon delivering a baby, women are exposed to the potential risk of developing uterine atony. Additional preventative care needs to be addressed to lessen this risk.
Objectives:
How can we better the education to pregnant women to help lessen the potential risk of uterine atony?
Examine the different ethnic groups that are at a greater risk including younger and older women.
Determine the most effective way to help prevent uterine atony.

360-degree communication plan fostering patient safety and risk management across hospital departments

Your role as Chief of Medical Staff will conduct a literature review and provide an evidence-based, professional presentation to your peers that summarizes the findings and conclusions reached that reflect the results of the articles.
Your project (topic), from the perspective of senior leadership in the facility, is to create a 360-degree communication plan that fosters patient safety and risk management across departments. You will use the tenets discussed in class of interprofessional communication, evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, leadership, and followership to implement the 360-degree communication program.
Find at least three sources from the past five years that address the topic. Summarize (provide a synopsis of the articles) your five resources in a 150-word abstract (descriiption) AND cite your three sources using APA style.

healthcare administration

Read the following case study and answer the discussion prompts:
A small community hospital in the Midwest has used a homegrown information system for years. The system began in the early 1970s with a financial module. Over time, additional modules were added. A limited number of departments selected a commercial system and interfaces were used to integrate these into the overall functionality of the hospital information system. Except for physicians, most in-house clinical or care-related documentation is online. However, about 15% to 20% of this documentation is done by free text and is not effectively searchable. In addition, the screens, including the drop-down and default values, were built using terms selected by the in-house development team in consultation with clinical staff; thus there is no data dictionary or specific standard language. In the last few years, the hospital has purchased two outpatient clinics (obstetrics and mental health) and a number of local doctor practices. The clinics and doctors’ offices are now being converted to the hospital administrative systems. A few of the clinical applications that are tied directly to the administrative systems such as order entry and results reporting are also being installed.
A major change is being planned. A new chief information officer (CIO) was hired last year, and she has appointed a chief medical information officer (CMIO) and a chief nursing information officer (CNIO). No other significant staff changes were made. With her team in place, one of the CIO’s first activities was to complete an inventory of all applications. Rather than continue to build, a decision was made to switch to a commercial vendor, and the hospital selected a commercial system.
Identify issues with the existing system. Provide staff with an appropriate “work-around” for using the existing system. Provide an overview of two of the standard languages used within the new system including discipline or specialty, updating frequency, and available cross-maps. Describe ways to obtain clinical staff input and specific methods to support the transition to the new system.

Overactive Bladder treatment: A Silent Cause of Dementia

This Lit review needs additional references and revision of professors comments as needed. I have attached the previous work which was order #372295259. I do not want the same writer please. I need 10 or more sources. Feel free to provide more if you can. Thank you!

Education Procedures for Training Staff in a Hospital Environment

This will be a 10 page research paper on the above topic. I will upload all instructions including already completed annotated bibliography and outline. The paper will discuss the Information theory approach for Education Procedures for training staff in a hospital environment. The textbook is Easterling. (2021). Healthcare Informatics (1st ed.). New York, NY: McGraw Hill. Please pleae read the instructions for the paper. It is lengthy but necessary. I have included additional infomation regarding my topic on the instrucation page as well. PLEASE also make sure all sources are properly cited and paper written from scratch. Annotated Bib was checked and had some online similiarities flagged. Seemed mainly to be sources not properly cited/given credit. I appreciate your hard-let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
