Ideally, the multi-factor treatment approach will include a personalized treatment plan. As clients might have different needs, a personalized treatment plan is significant. For example, a client who has an addiction may require a different treatment plan then a client who needs to be hospitalized for physical complications due to their addiction.
While several components of the approach play an equally important part in the treatment plan, it is important that clients seeking sobriety and addiction treatment address their physical ailments before moving into the process of recovery where their emotional and spiritual struggles may be addressed effectively. Furthermore, a personal treatment plan should take into account the client’s culture, age, gender, and access to resources. All of these elements influence the final treatment plan.
For this Assignment, review the week’s resources. Then, review the scenarios provided in the “Assignment Scenarios: Treatment Approach” document, and select two scenarios as the focus of your Assignment. Explore the differences in the scenarios provided and consider how a biopsychosocial-spiritual treatment approach may be applied differently for each individual. Support your response with references to the resources and current literature.
Submit a 2- to 3-page paper that addresses the following:
Briefly describe the two individuals whom you selected from the scenarios.
Explain how you would apply a biopsychosocial-spiritual treatment approach to each individual.
Explain how addiction impacts the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well being of each individual differently.
Explain how these differences might influence treatment approaches.

Relapse prevention developed from the understanding that alcohol and other substance dependencies are difficult to treat. Even if treatment is successful, there is always the risk of relapse.  Rates of relapse vary depending on factors such as the type of treatment and the substance used.
As your Capuzzi & Stauffer text notes, it is estimated that 90% of alcoholics return to drinking within a four-year period and 40–60% of drug users relapse. With the prevalence of relapse, it is important for addiction professionals to work closely with their clients to identify risks for relapse and to work with their clients to develop strategies to avoid relapsing.
For this Assignment, review the video, “Experiencing a Traumatic Event,” and consider how the traumatic event resulted in the individual seeking addiction treatment. Support your response with references to the resources and current literature.
Submit a 2- to 3-page paperthat addresses the following:
Create a relapse prevention plan for Greg.
Identify the supports and risk factors for Greg’s possible relapse.
Describe the factors that will likely contribute to Greg’s relapse .
Describe the specific interventions that you would suggest.
Explain the lifestyle changes that you would suggest Greg implement to avoid relapse.

Each member of a group contributes to the group’s dynamic even if the member is silent. As a clinical social worker, it is important to understand the dynamics you bring to a group and the role you tend to assume in a group setting. Every individual has his or her own way of interacting. Knowing your own personal style and the role you tend to choose will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses when working within a group.
For this Assignment, describe the dynamics of your Wiki Group. By this time, your group should have developed the family case study and defined the scope of the problem.
Reflect on your participation in the dynamics. What role have you assumed in the group? Have you used any empowerment strategies in moving the group forward? If not, what strategy could you implement?
Group Process Assignments should integrate course concepts related to group process. Assignments should demonstrate critical thought when applying course material to your group experience. Support ideas in your Assignment with APA citations from this week’s required resources.
(You can literally make up something for this one. You can write it as if I have been a great leader in the group. I have also attached the group project guidelines so that you have an idea of what the group wiki project is)

Clients may experience several traumatic events before seeking treatment. It may take a near-death experience such as alcohol poisoning or a tragic car accident before someone realizes that they need help. Or perhaps it is a friend or family member who initiates treatment by making a professional aware that one of their loved ones is struggling with an addiction. With the array of treatments available, addiction professionals must be able to assist clients by assessing their needs and guiding them in the right direction.
For this Assignment, review Prochaska and DiClemente’s Processes of Change.
Submit a 2- to 3-page paper that addresses the following:
Describe the first five steps in Prochaska and DiClemente processes of change model.
Explain how an addiction professional would intervene with the client at each stage.
Describe any challenges an addiction professional would have in each stage.

You will watch the video and then write about the following

Your paper should start by referring to what was learned about your “patient” in the initial consultation you videotaped.  Then describe the therapeutic content and activities to be included in three additional follow-up sessions that you imagine conducting with this patient.  Discuss the following:
1)    Theoretical models and behavioral strategies you will use in the 3 follow-up sessions and reasons for adopting these for your particular patient.
2)    Time interval between each follow-up session and reasons for deciding on this interval.
3)    Your knowledge of the ways in which various dimensions of this patient’s diversity (their age, nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, dis/ability status, language history, or whatever is relevant) could influence your patient’s understandings of illness, help-seeking behaviors, ideas about healing practices, and ability to engage with the treatment plan.
4)    Discuss whether you plan to involve other staff resources, such as nurses, community health workers, nutritionists, family members, or significant others in your intervention plan with this patient.  Why or why not (involve them) ?
5)    Make reference in your paper to any unique health educational or self-management handouts you might plan to use in an actual behavioral health short-term process. You may reference any of the tools described in detail in your Hunter et. al textbook.  Name the tools and the page numbers and say why they would be relevant for your particular patient.
6)    Discuss the content of the feedback you would give to the patient’s PCP or referring health care provider.  What would you say (and how much would you say) about the relationship between the medical condition and the behavioral health issues ?  Keeping in mind that you need to be efficient in your reporting to a health care provider in a fast-paced setting, what would you tell the referring medical provider about your treatment plan and your assessment of the patient’s ability to acquire and use new behavioral and/or cognitive coping strategies ?
7) Applying the 5 A’s (assess, advise, agree, assist, and arrange), develop a behavioral health intervention that you could deliver in the next 3 sessions
