1) Do you think there is a future for linear TV? If not, why not? If so, why so?
2) It’s been said that the songs of today are so terrible, they won’t be remembered or played in five years, let alone 40 or 50 years.
Why is it that many stations on the radio dial still play music that is almost half a century or more old?
(And it’s not because the listeners are all old, btw.)
To put it in perspective, if you were a young person in 1975 with current music on the radio from Elton John and David Bowie, there would be dozens of stations devoted to music from 1925. Which of course, did not happen.
Why does the music of today have no longevity? Where’s P. Diddy (or whatever his name is now), or Jay-Z, or Shaggy, or Nelly, or Ashanti, or Usher? Do you think people will be humming Lil Nas X or Pitbull in 10 years? Where’s Rihanna?
To further put it in perspective, the Rolling Stones just sold out two nights in LA as part of their latest tour. They have been putting it out there for 60 years. Will Justin Bieber be putting it out there in 60 years?
What are your thoughts?

I have to pick a topic exploring areas of the History of U. s Radio and Television. I will have to Research about my topic of choice. My topic is to research about Movies that were made in the early history of radio and Television like in the 40’s 40’s 60’s and 70’sbthat became remakes and compare and talk about the remakes of those movies and how things changed.
