HDF 404: Children and Hospitalization Research Article Review
The theories and techniques for providing psychosocial care to children in health care are constantly evolving. Researchers seek to justify these theories with valid data, and health care professionals seek to provide high quality care that meets the needs of pediatric patients. Specialists who work with children in health care settings use the term “evidence-based practice” to answer the question: “Why do we do what we do?” Evidence-based practice involves three components: 1) the best research evidence, 2) clinical expertise, and 3) patient values. Health care professionals must continuously seek answers and implement research findings into their daily work with children.
Assignment
Use the format below to critically review a research study related to the psychosocial care of children in health care and written within the past five years. You must search for and select scholarly articles. Required course readings may not be used for this assignment. Finished reviews should be 1-2 double-spaced, typed pages.
