Assignment:
This assignment requires you to explore a specific topic of interest related interpersonal competence. Students will identify an area of interest, and then identify a specific sub-topic. The topic must be related to the course, and can be connected to at least one of the following: assigned readings, previous assignments or discussion posts.
You will identify 2 scholarly articles from a journal that was published in the year 2010 or after. Scholarly articles are found in peer-reviewed, or refereed, journals. Such journals have editorial boards of experts who accept or reject articles for publication. Therefore, the articles are considered high quality and represent important research in a given field.
You will provide a brief overview of your interest, research findings, and integrate new knowledge into what you have learned in this course.
SCHOLARLY ARTICLES ARE REQUIRED.
Purpose:
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of an area of interest by examining current research on the specified topic.

Synthesis of findings
Commentary
Interest in Topic: Interest in topics is distinctly conveyed. Inclusion of where interest connects to course content [assigned readings, either of the textbooks, previous assignments or discussion posts].
Article 1 Review: Includes an accurate presentation of key pieces of information, essential points, and
results/recommendations presented in the article.
Article 2 Review: Includes an accurate presentation of key pieces of information, essential points, and results/recommendations presented in the article.
Synthesis of Findings: Includes identification of common themes or trends in all articles reviews. In addition, any gaps, contradictions or inconsistencies are indicated.
Commentary: Overview of what you learned as a result of completing this assignment. Identify how you integrated the new information with your pre-existing knowledge from this course, other coursework you have taken, and/or your personal experiences.
References: Journal articles are properly cited using APA format.
