Project 4: Visual Poem
The goal of this lesson is to learn how to use Adobe Premiere Pro, creating a short experimental video of at least one minute, but no more than five minutes. It should have at least one audio track, but can also contain multiple tracks. Shoot your own video and audio on your phone, camera, or video recorder in horizontal/landscape format (NOT vertical) and import to Premiere. You can also import still images/photos (Tiffs, jpegs) and graphics (Illustrator .ai files) as part of your video. Export your final video as an .mp4 file and upload to Canvas. If it is too large (over 500mb) to upload to Canvas, export as High Quality 720p HD.
Please note: many student videos end too abruptly! Try to extend the ending with a fade out or some other way either by extending the scene or fading to black. You can also fade out the music. Please do not just have it end abruptly, as this is jarring!
Definition of poem from Dictionary.com: a composition in verse, especially one that is characterized by a highly developed artistic form and by the use of heightened language and rhythm to express an intensely imaginative interpretation of the subject.
