• Dr. Richard Horton, Editor-in-chief at Lancet:

1. Describe who authored each quote and why his/her opinion matters.
2. For each of the 3 quotes, paraphrase what was said. Write a few sentences in your own words that gives me the main message of the quote.
3. Take home message: After you finish questions one and two, take a moment to process what the information means. Write a few sentences to answer what this means for us, as nutrition science students? How should we proceed? We need to learn about nutrition so how should we continue on? Why did we bother to learn the “gold standards” for research if these quotes are true?
