From the videos and pictures contained in the Zipped folder labelled ‘CPE 24 month-old Case study observations’ provided, write a daily ‘snapshot’. Pick a photo/video and record, in 100 words or less, a ‘snapshot’ of how children are engaged in the room. This will provide you with information about this age group’s social development, range of interests, etc. The child profile is to be based on evidence/data gathered and self-generated from videos and pictures contained in the Zipped folder labelled ‘CPE 24 month-old Case study observations’.
A total of 3 snapshots (or WOW moments) to be written (100 words each).
Again, from the same Zipped folder labelled ‘CPE 24 month-old Case study observations’ provided, record one anecdotal observations of each focus child. Please use the template uploaded here. These observations should center on the child’s interaction with the sensory materials. Analyse the observations, Interpret the Observations and fill in the three columns in the attached templates. Reflect on how these observations will inform your planning for each focus child in the observation. I am uploading a completed sample observation for your reference. Please remember to thoroughly analyse the ‘evidence’ given in the observation and use theory/literature/pedagogical studies to explain the significance of the behaviour in the observation given. Also, how will you then use this ‘evidence’ and ‘analysis’ to plan your teaching and lessons for the focus child. Mention the implications for planning, if any. Do not forget to add references at the bottom – APA 7th edition style, please!
Use the outcomes or sub-outcomes within the EYLF to help add to the analysis based on the observations. To do this, choose the relevant EYLF outcomes/sub-outcomes. Also include evidence from your observation to tie it all in together.
A total of 8 anecdotal observations to be written (100 words each approx) – sample uploaded.

The child profile should:
• incorporate and link to theory, research, and scientific evidence on learning and development;
• appropriately assess and differentiate planned teaching activities and strategies to meet children’s different levels of development, abilities, strengths, interests, inclusion needs, backgrounds, and disability;
• include ‘hypothetical/made up’ examples of communication and engagement with young children’s parents or carers in their child’s learning and development;
• appropriately identify and link child learning and development to relevant early childhood practices/frameworks (e.g., EYLF/VEYLDF) and/or other health, safety, and regulatory practices.

You have been exposed to several different evaluation tools over the last four weeks and were given two tools to conduct a formal evaluation of practice to choose from. Using the results from which ever evaluation you conducted and the knowledge built about all of the different tools and markers of good schools and inclusion- write a narrative summary of your evaluation.
Now we understand which policies are impact us and how to read them, it is time to evaluate our practices. Policy and research should be guiding our practice- but does what does that mean in the classroom and schools? We are evaluated all of the time by KHDA, our principals and each other- but based on what measures?
