If you do agree, explain why. If you don’t agree with the survey results, what do you feel is your strongest learning style and why?
Here are my test results:
Based on this survey my strongest learning style is Kinesthetic and Visual. I do agree with these test results based on the few classes I took before I was enrolled in the college.
Earlier this year, I was trying to learn how to use AutoCAD software on my own. It is just one of those things that I really enjoy doing in my free time. I purchased a $10 online tutorial course. The course consists of a step-by-step video and some practice projects. So, I was following the video instructions and trying to replicate the step. In the end I concluded my learning strategies: Watch-Absorb-Replicate-Modify. Before I tried these strategies, I bought an 800-page book trying to learn the software through textbook, I realized that is not work will for me very quickly. First, English is my second language, so the reading is my biggest weakness. Even though I am still working on improving my reading skill and I am not afraid to step out of my comfort zone, but studying through Watch-Absorb-Replicate-Modify is still my preferred method for studying new knowledge.
Some researchers believe that we do not have just one “strongest” learning style, but in fact, will use a variety of styles based on what it is we are trying to learn. Can you think of a learning task that you might face in which your “strongest” learning style might not work? Which one might work better?
When I am working on a new math problem, I have a tough time absorbing the information just by watching a video or illustration. It does not seem that big of different between learning a new software skill or a math problem, but I think because the math problem has more logical thinking invoked, that could be the reason I am having the tough time to learn math problem just by watching. I found out that when I am learning math problems, I perform better by reading the text instruction. Which is my weakest strength. So, at this point, my weakest strength is to become my strongest strength. Like the book says:
“Studying in college is complicated because there are so many ways to study and so many different types of classes to study for.” (Shushan, J. (2019). The Pocket Guide to College Success. (Pg.72) [VitalSource Bookshelf]. Retrieved from https://bookshelf.vitalsource.com/#/books/9781319262921/)
Based on the VARK Questionnaire Results page, identify two strategies from the help sheet links that might benefit you in an educational setting. Explain if you can start using these strategies right away in FOR110.
The first strategy I want use is: “Use plenty of examples when you talk, discuss, present or write.” (Kinesthetic Strategies – To present information to other [https://vark-learn.com/strategies/kinesthetic-strategies/ (Links to an external site.)])
That is the strategy I have been using for schoolwork and in my workplace. When I am working on an assignment, I always like to include some personal thoughts and experiences. The reason I am doing this is because I want feedback. I want to share what is on my mind at this moment, and if I am wrong and someone willing to point out where I had wronged, he can pinpoint exactly where and which step. Also, sharing personal experience is not just by providing another way that can work, it also can help to create connections between people. In my workplace, we have a program called “Lesson Learned.” Each one of them is based on a real situation, it can be someone producing a new idea of solving the problems or someone doing something wrong. In my opinion, we should treat learning from someone else’s success and fail is a valuable lesson, because that can help us not to create the same mistake or simply find a good method to solve the problems. That is why I would like to include plenty of examples, because it not just helps me to learn, it also can help someone else to learn from it.
The second strategy I want use is: “look for opportunities to apply what you have learned.” (Kinesthetic Strategies – To present information to other [https://vark-learn.com/strategies/kinesthetic-strategies/])
This is my number one strategy for learning new information. I believe learning is not copying and pasting. I think learning is the combination of acknowledging the critical concept and the ability to apply it to different scenarios. For me, if I don’t apply the thing that I learn to practice, I will quickly forget what I just learned, even just by changing the number on the question will help me remember the key concept better. The reason I value this strategy so much is because in the real world or test, there is hardly ever I can find the question that is identical to the textbook! If I couldn’t digest the knowledge I learn and apply it to the different scenarios, then I was not learning, I was memorizing!

Report your type (example: ISTP), read the full description under the Self-development heading, and then explain how you can use this information personally, academically, and professionally.
After the test I found out my personality is: INFJ. After reding the Self-development heading, I think it will help me in these areas:
For my personal life, the context mentioned INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life, I can’t agree with this more. I believe the poppers of life should be meaningful, not only for myself, but also for the people around me. This will not only help me clearly identify my goal, but it will also help to remind me what is behind the goal about who I am and where I came from.
For my professional, the context mentioned the INFJ personality are generally “doers” as well as dreamers. This is a big advantage for me in my workplace. As I mentioned before, I work in a very demanding field that my company will not take imposable or no as an answer. Often time we need to have someone like that who can think differently to come up with a different answer and put it into practice.
For academics, the context mentioned in the INFJs has clearest insights of all the types into the motivations of others. I think that can be a big advantage for me. Because I know I am a motivation driven person, there are times that I feel that I just want to let go of the online school because of how hard it is to manage everything in my life on top of school. So, having a strong motivation is definably will push me forward along the way.

If you do agree, explain why. If you don’t agree with the survey results, what do you feel is your strongest learning style and why?
Based on the survey, my learning style is mild kinesthetic.  I agree with this because it states that a person with that learning behavior likes things that are real.  For example, I learn better when I see an actual tutorial or follow step by step instructions with pictures.  Being able to visualize what the outcome is helps to ensure that I am following procedures correctly.   VARK Learn Limited (2022)
Some researchers believe that we do not have just one “strongest” learning style, but in fact, will use a variety of styles based on what it is we are trying to learn. Can you think of a learning task that you might face in which your “strongest” learning style might not work? Which one might work better?
A task that my learning style would not benefit would be anything that is only audible.  If I had an assignment where I was to listen to a video or a recording that that only verbally explained, I would have to use the read/write learning style to be successful.  When I am being taught something without an example to follow, I have to make sure that I am taking detailed notes to reflect on.  If an assignment does not offer any visual guidance, I also like to talk with someone or research it to make sure the idea that I have is aligned with what is requested.
Based on the VARK Questionnaire Results page, identify two strategies from the help sheet links that might benefit you in an educational setting. Explain if you can start using these strategies right away in FOR110.
One strategy was to put plenty examples into my notes.  Examples are beneficial because they help you relate what you are learning to reality.  If I have more examples, I will have a better understanding of the true concept of what I am learning.  Another suggestion was to use previous assessments to learn from for the future.  I think this can be helpful in FOR110 because I can look at the feedback that I received and use that to enhance my next assignment.  VARK Learn Limited (2022)

My personality type is Introvert Intuitive Feelings and Judging (INFJ).  The description was very relatable to how I really think and feel.  There were a lot of things mentioned that helped me understand possibly why I think certain ways and how I may come off to certain people.  The only negative or eye-opening insight was the mentioning of how someone with my personality can be empathetic but also cause discomfort in stressful situations.  I am self-aware and I can tell when my energy is affecting someone else.  I am going to monitor myself the next time I am in a stressful situation whether it be in life, work or school to see if I am being positive.  If not, I will take steps to ensure that I am working to improve my character.  Humanmetrics Inc. Complete the following VARK Questionnaire (Links to an external site.). Based on this survey, what appears to be your strongest learning style? Do you agree? If you do agree, explain why. If you don’t agree with the survey results, what do you feel is your strongest learning style and why?
Answer: The learning style the survey said is my strongest is kinesthetic. I completely agree with results. Practical exercises and experience is the best way for me to grasp knowledge not only the best but the quickest as well. Learning by someone explaining information typically goes over my head.
Question 2:  Some researchers believe that we do not have just one “strongest” learning style, but in fact, will use a variety of styles based on what it is we are trying to learn. Can you think of a learning task that you might face in which your “strongest” learning style might not work? Which one might work better?
Answer 2: I feel that out of any learning style kinesthetic would be the best option for me in any situation. Physically doing the work and practicing with similar work would benefit me the most. If I had to choose another learning style that would work the second best for me though would be visual. Threw graphs and diagrams would help me see how things should work and then complete the task based on examples given to me.
Question 3: Based on the VARK Questionnaire Results page, identify two strategies from the help sheet links that might benefit you in an educational setting. Explain if you can start using these strategies right away in FOR110
Answer 3: For my first strategy I would like to reference would be Recall past examples and performances. By using this strategy, I can not only help myself but help others by using my own past experiences on related topics to help cast more relatable ideas and examples. I know that when I am struggling to understand something, and a classmate/ instructor helps explain the situation and problem I am running into with a past experience it helps me grasp the concept better. This has always been a very good strategy to help me succeed in the past. The second strategy I would like to reference would be Put plenty of examples into your notes and answers. By doing this in my education I can always reference back to see how my work should be done. Having plenty of examples in your notes allows you to see past examples to see exact step by step and to help teach a lesson again. I can also figure out different ways to work out problems.
Question 4: Complete the following 64-question personality survey based on Carl Jung’s and Isabel Briggs Myers’ typological approach (Links to an external site.). Report your type (example: ISTP), read the full description under the Self-development heading, and then explain how you can use this information personally, academically, and professionally.
Answer 4: My personality type is ENTP (extravert, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving). One big thing I noticed on the full description was that it said “sometimes too clever and will unknowingly cut corners.” I feel that I have been told before that I rush threw my work or begin to ramble. I feel reading this description and knowing how I am I can look for these actions. Being able to see when I am rushing my work whether it is in school or in my professional work will help me tremendously. I will be able to catch these actions before I finish so tha

Assignment Description
For this assignment, you will select discriminatory issues within a program or policy, analyze that program or policy, explain strategies to address the issues, and recommend improvements. Keeping in mind that policy change does not happen in a vacuum, you will also format these recommendations as an audiovisual presentation for policymakers, clearly presenting the case for your chosen improvements.
Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, complete the following:
Select and explain a program or policy that you believe oppresses, alienates, or discriminates and explain why you think this is the case. Use your current knowledge and skills in regards to program and policy evaluation as well the approach to evaluation that Chambers and Bonk (2013) employ in your text.
Analyze the program or policy that you have selected by applying the three evaluation criteria, adequacy, equity, and efficiency, from Chambers and Bonk (2013).
Recommend improvements or enhancements to the program or policy, converting it to a policy or program meant to create privilege and/or power.
Create an audiovisual presentation designed to influence those in power to consider changing the program or policy. The final format of this presentation is up to you, but a straightforward approach would be to create a PowerPoint presentation, enable the record function, and narrate through the presentation as if you were delivering it live.
To prepare for the narration, it is helpful to write a script or notes and use them as a guide when recording. Include these talking points in the Notes section of the corresponding slides of the presentation. This will also ensure that, in case there are any problems with your recording, the information of the narration is still accessible.
Utilize the links in the Resources to assist you with creating an effective presentation.

Assignment Overview
C4.GP.B. Apply critical thinking to engage in analysis of quantitative and qualitative research methods and research findings.
C6.GP.A, C7.GP.B, C8.GP.B, C9.GP.B. (Engage) (Assess) (Intervene) (Evaluate). Apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, person-in-environment, and other multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks with clients and constituencies.
For the first component of your course project, select a case study and a theory. Your first task in this assignment is to review the three case studies from the Case Study Treatment Plan media, centered on Levi, Tommy, and Hofsa. Select one of these case studies to use for your course project. Then, choose a theoretical framework you think is appropriate to the case; you will later analyze the case using your chosen theory.
In this assignment, develop a picture of who you believe this individual to be. Consider his or her salient characteristics, traits, resources, and barriers. Together, how do all of these facets impact his or her behavior and response to the situation presented in the case study? Also analyze the selected theory within the context of this case. Important: You do not apply the theory to this case until the Unit 7 assignment.
Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, complete the following:
Organize client information to paint a picture of their present intersectionality.
Develop a statement of the presenting problem.
Identify and discuss the key components of the theory you selected to apply to your chosen case study (Levi, Tommy, or Hofsa).
Component examples include psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive, person-centered, feminist and gender sensitive theories, systemic, et cetera.
Evaluate the theory you have chosen. Explain why the theory is selected to analyze your chosen case.
Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your selected theory, using academic resources to support your position.
Evaluate how cultural competence is applied to your selected theory.
Describe at least one implication of the theory as it relates to human behavior and development for your chosen case study of Levi, Tommy, or Hofsa.

1.BRITTNEY
The Chthonic is one of the first legal traditions in society. It is very broad and general, considerably it is at the most basic level. H. Patrick Glenn discusses the chthonic legal tradition in chapter three of his book Legal Traditions of the World. Glenn states that “The chthonic way is thus an informal one, which literally seeks to blend into the surrounding landscape.”[1] It comes from the tribes and indigenous peoples.
There are two models of chthonic legal traditions. Model one is “Africa and Asia.” This model considers the tribes and Islamic influence. This model has no “uniform pattern.”[2] “In central Asia, there is a revival of community-clan institutions (old forms of courts, steppe law, oral tradition) at the expense of the state. In Africa, even at the height of colonial power, there was no effort to eliminate chthonic legal traditions.”[3]
Model two is the “Americas and Australia.” This model considers the settlement of the Europeans. “Here the variations have much to do with the European legal traditions which European settlers carried with them, on their ‘discovery’ of these lands. The common law was the least explicit about indigenous peoples, and even where English common law was received by the effect of statute, common law judges were still called upon to decide the extent of its displacement, if any, of chthonic law for indigenous people.”[4]
“There are no pure chthonic traditions in the world today.” One comparable idea within western law and chthonic legal tradition is the reservation of land. Current day law protects the reservation of land in 18 U.S. Code § 1151. Chthonic tradition and that statute protect the rights of native people and their rights to keep their land. But western law and chthonic legal tradition also have disagreeing factors. For example, criminal law. “There is to all intents and purposes no law of theft or burglary; no law of drugs; no organized crime; no money laundering; no  white-collar crime; no fraud.”[5] Chthonic legal tradition did not confront this issue. Living in the current day time, we need strict/ dominant laws to penalize those individual people (not the community) who commit harmful and dishonest acts.
Lastly, I do not think Christian tradition and chthonic tradition are similar. Christian tradition and chthonic tradition are both older traditions, but the two ideas stray apart from each other. The chthonic legal tradition was never formally documented, but Christian tradition was (for example the Bible.) Because of this, the Chthonic legal tradition is not used anymore. Christian tradition is still used. Chthonic legal tradition is so broad that no prominent principles were made, unlike Christian traditions. For example, Christian traditions have the 10 Commandments in Exodus 20 (NIV).
2.CODY
At times during the first three chapters the author, Glenn, can be enigmatic in his way of describing complex topics; luckily, this is not the case when he divides Chthonic identity. In his words, Glenn says this:
Two basic models are evident. On the one hand there is the state constructed by western powers in colonized territories, which persists following withdrawal of western authority. On the other hand there is the state constructed by western powers in the process of permanent settlement in colonized territories, which persists as an ongoing instrument of western authority.
H. Patrick Glenn, Legal Traditions of the World 85 (5th ed. 2014).
Since there are no purely Chthonic traditions in today’s world, Glenn is saying that it is inevitable western tradition will interact with Chthonic tradition. Id. at 83. The two main models essentially come from if westerners permanently settled the area such as the case with the Americas and Australasia or if that had an interest and influence in the area for a limited time but did not widely settle, such as with Africa and Asia.
Currently, it is easy to see the mixing of western and Chthonic legal information (or tradition, as the terms are used almost interchangeable throughout) in respect to crime and imprisonment. Id. at 90. With Chthonic tradition being described as largely “informal”, dispute resolution and punishment are too. Id. at 82. This stands in contrast to western views of individual guilt and imprisonment as punishment for trespasses against society. Norval Morris & David J. Rothman, The Oxford Story of the Prison: The Practice of Punishment in Western Society vii (1998). Early Europeans had to adapt or at least account for the differences in thoughts of crime and this is again important to keep in mind today as all Chthonic peoples reside within a state. Expanding on the idea that all Chthonic peoples reside within a state, it is notable that they are also granted rights that non-Chthonic citizens of the state would have. Individual rights are not always built into Chthonic tradition so this exchange of legal tradition could be seen as beneficial to Chthonic peoples in state.
When considering our Christian tradition of oral history and the Chthonic tradition, the question that comes to mind – how many Christians read their Bibles every day? In looking into this question, LifeWay Research found a mere thirty-two percent of churchgoing protestants read their Bibles daily. Lifeway Research, https://research.lifeway.com/2019/07/02/few-protestant-churchgoers-read-the-bible-daily/ (last visited May 11, 2022). Looking at related surveys, this seems to be a reliable number. If western tradition is mainly held in reading in writing, why would churchgoers not be in their Bibles every day? It might be difficult to quantify but I believe it is because a lot of our interactions regarding our faith are oral. The abovementioned thirty-two percent are believers who attend church regularly, meaning they are likely hearing at least one sermon per week. Further, how many believers listen to worship music during their commutes or stream Christian podcasts while doing chores? I would venture to say this number is much higher than the thirty-two percent who are in the Word every day. I’m not claiming it is an alternative to reading the Bible, but I am saying we, as Christians, might be more of an oral tradition than we think ourselves to be.
